Joanna Moore Dies, Victim of Leukemia

Joanna Beth Moore, 7 years old, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Aubrey H. Moore, died yesterday morning at her home, 1011 West Thirty-second street, after an illness of three months from lymphatic leukemia. Several Indianapolis physicians sough to combat the disease, which is uncurable but common.

Leukemia is an excessive increase of the white blood cells and the size of the lymphatic vessels and glands. Treatment is unsatisfactory and death usually occurs in a few weeks or months. Cause of the disease is unknown.

Joanna Moore was born in Noblesville. She was a pupil in School No. 41.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Seventh Christian Church. Burial will be in Lizton. Survivors are the parents and a brother, Ruell Moore, 22 years old. Her father has been pastor of the Seventh church four and a half years and has held several Disciples of Christ pastorates in central Indiana.
