Wife of Stanley Abel, daughter of Fred H. Peth and Gusta Phelps. Stanley and Helen are parents of two children, Carolyn and Fred.

Helen was a beautiful lady and I have many good memories as a child. We would drive to St Louis and Bland to visit. Was always a lot of fun. I believe she worked for the hospital in St Louis for a few years. Sometimes our families would meet at the Lake of the Ozarks in little fishing cottages, the resort was called Bill and Val's! Would swim off the dock in innertube's, fish and play cards.

We lived in North Kansas City my dad bought a new car in 1952 so drove to St Louis to visit. He was an excellent driver but it was raining and he hit a slick spot flew off the highway into a ditch and the car rolled over. People saw it happen and pulled us out. It was on its side and we couldn't get the doors open. We ended up staying for a couple of weeks while the car was being repaired with Helen and Stanley. I still remember going to the drive-in movie, church and the St Louis Zoo with them it was so much fun. Helen gave my sister and I hair cuts and a perm, and we drove to Bland and picked cherries off Gusta's cherry tree and she made delicious cherry jelly.

Their daughter Carolyn died and was married couple of times and had two sons and a daughter I have found. Carolyn is deceased she died in 2003 and will attach her info. Brother Fred is still living.
