Mrs. Opal Mae Britton Alpaugh, 78, of 31 N. 9th St., died yesterday in Easton Hospital shortly after she was admitted. She had been in failing health the last three months.
Her husband, William Chester Alpaugh Sr., died in October 1955.
Born July 26, 1889, in Frenchtown, N.J., Mrs. Alpaugh was a daughter of the late Daniel and Laura Belle Thatcher Britton.
She was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a son, William C. Alpaugh Jr., Palmer Township, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Bender Funeral Home.
