Minnie was the daughter of William "Bill" Rester and Anna Bilbo Rester.

Minnie's siblings were:
James, Mary Jane, William Singleton, Nancy, Jeptha Franklin, Leonard, Martha Louisa, Emily Josephine, Thomas E. and Susie May.

Minnie married Aaron Ladner son of Rutillus Ladner and Mary C. J. Bell Ladner.

Minnie and Aaron had the following children:
1. Ouida Ladner Randolph
2. Robert F. "Bob" Ladner
3. Lucretia "Cressie" Ladner Beech
4. James Hubert Ladner
5. Ella A. Ladner Hartfield

MRS. LADNER DIES SUDDENLY

Funeral services were held at Juniper Grove Baptist church last Friday afternoon for Mrs. Aaron Ladner, age 57, who died suddenly Thursday as a result of ptomaine poisoning. Rev. E. N. Sullivan, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Poplarville, officiated.

Mrs. Ladner, who was Miss Minnie Rester before her marriage, was born in this county May 16, 1887. She has lived here throughout her life. She was devoted to her family, fond of her many friends and a fine Christian character. Her death came as a shock to people throughout this section.

Survivors include her husband, Aaron Ladner; three daughters, Mrs. Dan Beech and Mrs. Ella Hartfield of Poplarville, and Mrs. Clarence Randolph of Bay St. Louis; two sons, Bob and Hubert Ladner of Poplarville; three sisters, four brothers and sixteen grandchildren.

Pall bearers were E. J. Smith, F. W. Lee, Buddy Lewis, Alfred Smith, Henry O'Quinn and Orvis Smith. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
