BUCKNER, MR. TROY ESTON - age 85, of Maynardville, passed away 10:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 1999, at his home. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He loved to farm and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by wife, Ruby Cox Buckner; and infant son, Harold Buckner. Survivors: children, Susie Cooke Henderson, Andersonville, Carolyn Norris, Glenn Buckner, Allen Buckner, all of Maynardville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Nola Smith, Maynardville; special friend, Glenna McCrary; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Special thanks to St. Mary's Hospice of Knoxville and St. Mary's Home Health of Union County. Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Luther Cox officiating with music by Cedar Grove Quartet. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Pallbearers: grandsons. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday, Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
