Gretchen "Becky" Irwin 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday June 12, 2005. She was born January 26, 1920 in Kokomo to her parents Thomas and M. Marie (Peters) Woodward. She married Robert H. Irwin in March 1946, He died July 1999. She was a homemaker and was a retired Secretary at Fort Benjamin Harris in Indianapolis. She was a member of Northminister Presbyterian Church, Cross Roads of Indianapolis, Broad Ripple Garden Club, and Indianapolis Symphony. She loved her dog and traveling to visit her friends all around the world. She is survived by 1 niece: Lezlie (Dave) Andrews of Kokomo, nephews: Ronald (Cheryl) Woodward of Kokomo, and Tom (Cyndi) Woodward of San Benito, CA. 2 sister - in laws Phyllis Oylar of Kokomo and Tommy Wait of CA. Special friends: Jackie Spears, Roger & Lynn Evans; Several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother: Donald Owen Woodward. Services 2 p.m. Monday June 20, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. Russiaville, IN with calling 1 hour before service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo.
