Luke married Emma Estelle Decker, daughter of John Classen Decker and Mary E. Rife, January 1913 in Danforth, Illinois. They had three children: Irvin Leroy; Loren; Emma Elizabeth. His wife Emma died nine days after the birth of their third child.

Danforth - Luke Ulrich Eimen, 94, a lifelong resident of Danforth, died at 3:15 a.m. today at the Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth.

Visitation at the Knapp Funeral Home, Onarga, will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.

Visitation at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the services at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Raymond Barclay will officiate.

The son of Tobias and Minnie Schroeder Eimen, he was born April 18, 1889, in Danforth.

On January 18, 1913, in Danforth, he was married to the former Emma Decker. She died December 30, 1916. On February 17, 1951, he married the former Ida Decker. She died June 17, 1968.

Mr. Eimen was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth.

Survivors include two sons, Irvin of Leesburg, Florida and Loren of Rock Falls; a daughter, Elizabeth Baker of Thawville; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Voigt of Crescent City, Alice Eden and Vera Henrich, both of Danforth; one brother, Wilbir, of Danforth. Three brothers and one sister are deceased. Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery.
