Curtis Augustus Goff, Jr. is the son of Harris Augustus Goff and Willie Etta Currie Goff (Sims) . He was married to Doris Elizabeth Beam and was killed in the Normandy Invasion. Of course, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. His sister, Katie Louise Goff Bass (wife of Carl Loring Bass)is also buried close by. Cannot figure how he was given the junior on his name, unless the Augustus (middle name) made it so. There is no one in his family to be found named Curtis A. Goff. He is buried near his mother and his step-father. Not too far away in the same area is his father and his brother, Johnny Roscoe Goff and Johnny's daughter, Johnnie Mae.
Curtis also had another sister, Gladys Irene Goff Love who lived and died in Albermarle, North Carolina. She was the wife of Alton Love
