PARIS, TN - James Presnell 'J. P.' Wade, 73, retired maintenance employee for Gordon Equipment Co. in Detroit and former employee of Ridgeway Morticians, died of heart disease Monday at Henry County Medical Center.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Ridgeway Morticians with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Big Sandy.

He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Paris. Mr. Wade, the husband of Peggy Nell Wade, also leaves six daughters, Maxine Cearbaugh of Rochester, IN, Cheryl Garibia of Lincoln Park, MI, Caroline McMullan and Pamela Everets, both of Detroit, Patsy Bomba of Paris and Pricilla Smith of Erin; two sons, James Clinton Wade of Mayfield, Ky., and Donald Coleman of Paris; two sisters, Estelle Wade and Lois Barrow, both of Paris; three brothers, John P. Wade of Louisville, Ky., William V. Wade of Buchanan and Baxter Oneal Wade of Paris, 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
