Died, Phianna, wife of Miles Woodmansee, at her home in Lincoln township, this county, Wednesday, July, 31, 1889, aged 64 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Mrs. Woodmansee was a true hearted christian woman, who loved her family, her neighbors and friends, whose hand and heart ever did for the needy and distressed. Of her it can be truly said "She hath done what she could, She has finished her work and gone to her reward".
Phianna Allen was married March 17, 1844, was the mother of eight children, six of whom are yet living. All have reached years of maturity.
They were married in Ohio, removing in Michigan soon after where they lived some thirty years, most of the time near Middleville. They have lived in Kansas five years.
The funeral services at the house were conducted by Rev. Hunt of Ellsworth in a very appropriate manner, in the presence of many sympathizing friends. The remains were deposited at the homestead where they will rest till fall when it is intended to remove them to Michigan. The family wish to return thanks for the generous assistance of their neighbors and friends.
