DALHART - Nina Akin, 81, died Monday, April 27, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. CDT Friday in House public school gymnasium in House, N.M. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home.

Mrs. Akin was born Nov. 28, 1927, in House to Clark W. and Meada Warren Head. She married Jack Akin on Oct. 23, 1946, in House.

Survivors include her husband of McAllister, N.M.; two sons, Brant Akin of Dalhart and Phillip Akin of Bushland; a daughter, Janina Akin of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
