KELLY BLANKENSHIP was born March 8, 1937, in Rosalie, Nebraska, to Claude J. and Gladys B. (Kelly) Blankenship. He passed away Friday, June 2, 2006, at the his home in Tekamah, Nebraska, at the age of 69 years.

Kelly grew up in the Tekamah area.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on July 18, 1957. Following his discharge he worked a wide range of construction jobs in Nebraska, South Dakota and Montana. Kelly retired in the Tekamah area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elinor Ray.

Survivors include his sons & daughter-in-law: K. C. of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Mike & Sara of Watertown , South Dakota; three grandchildren: Cory Blankenship & his wife, Loraine, Frankie Fink and Savannah Rose; four sisters & brothers-in-law: Claudine & Kermit Hansen, Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Gloria & Brian Cameron of California, Janet Stillman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Donna & Jack Palmer of Tekamah; two brothers & sisters-in-law: Jim & Joan Blankenship of Battle Creek, MMichigan, Ted & Laura Blankenship, Arlington, Nebraska.


FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pelan Funeral Services Tekamah in Tekamah, Nebraska.

OFFICIATING: Rev. Philip Sloat

VISITATION: will be held Friday 1 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 7 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Services in Tekamah and Saturday one hour prior tot he service at the funeral home .

BURIAL will be in the Tekamah Cemetery, Tekamah Nebraska.
