James Childers

James William Childers, 79, of Brown, died January 30 at 4:55 p.m. in a Clarksburg hospital following an illness of complications.

Mr. Childers was a retired railroad worker and farmer.
He was born March 20, 1873, at Bristol, the son of the late Lewis and Clarice Jane Richards Childers. He was the husband of the late Mary Childers, who died in 1951.

Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Elsie Manns of Brown, Mrs. Clarice Whitehair of Brown, Mrs. Marjorie Lantz of Orville, Ohio, and Mrs. Permelia Allen of Wallace; four sons, George, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Harvey, of Buckhannon; Carl, of Kasson, and Robert of Nestorville. There are 39 grandchildren.
