MRS. MARGARET JANE ELDER McDONALD
Mrs. Margaret Jane Elder McDonald was born March 10, 1854, and died May 20, 1932.
She was the daughter of John and Catherine Kester Elder, pioneer settlers of McElroy. She was united in marriage with John H. McDonald September 24, 1882,and to this union was born five children: Mrs. E. L. Seckman of Tyler City, Mrs. Harry B. Hickman, Abbie McDonald, Ora McDonald and Esta McDonald, all of whom have preceded her in death, except Mrs. Seckman.

She is survived by 11 grandchildren and four living sisters, Mrs. Grant Warner, Meeker; Mrs. Martha Spencer, Middlebourne; Mrs. Safrona. Weekley, Clarksbnrg, and Mrs. Celia Tennant, Detroit, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Daniel Elder, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Tustin and Mrs. Marian White. She united with the Methodist church in her early maidenhood and lived a devoted Christian life until her death.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and interment was beside her husband and children in the family lot.
