Pamela Jane Roberts Trivette, 58, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 26, 2009 at her home in Rockledge, FL. A Florida resident for the past several years, she was found by a neighbor at her front door while preparing to leave for a trip to nearby Daytona Beach, her selected home town. She was born March 11, 1951 in Charlotte, NC, the only daughter of the late NASCAR legend Glenn "Fireball" Roberts and wife Doris Roberts. Pamela was preceded in death by her father; Glenn "Fireball" Roberts, an Apopka, Florida native who became one of the first NASCAR superstars, winning 33 races, including the Daytona 500. He died on July 2, 1964, after being badly burned in a crash at the 1964 World 600 in Charlotte weeks earlier. And her mother Doris Roberts who died in North Carolina in 2004. Pamela spent her time trying passionately to keep the legacy of her father, mother and family name alive. She was in the process of preparing a book about her famous race car driver father, who was always "Daddy" to her, had created a website devoted to her father at www.fireball22.com and she participated in many functions in his honor. Mrs. Trivette is survived by her husband Rick Trivette, her son Matt McDaniel and daughter Angela Gibson and four grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Ceremony for Pamela Roberts, 58, at her favorite spot on the beach on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the North Turn Restaurant, 4511 S. Atlantic Ave., Ponce Inlet, FL. 32127. The gathering will start at noon followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m.
