William McBride Campbell, 83, of Bon Air, went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Shoy K. Campbell; five children, Doug (Margie) Campbell, Tom (Janet) Campbell, Linda Goodrich, Scott (Bland) Campbell, and Chris (Kathy) Campbell; nine grandchildren, Brennon Goodrich, Jonathan (Emily), David (Julia), Christina, Zachary, Ryan Elizabeth, Anna Mae, Stephen and Emily Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Angel, Lucas and Abram Campbell; and one sister, Zetta Marie Campbell.

Mr. Campbell was a U.S. Navy veteran with service during World War II.

He was a retired Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and was a former volunteer for Forest View Rescue Squad.

His remains rested at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family received friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Funeral services held 12 noon Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Good News Free Will Baptist Church. Interment 3pm Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
