Well known man about town passed away Saturday evening after an extended illness. Luther Maxwell, age 47, died at his home four miles west of the city, at seven-thirty Saturday evening after a prolonged illness with diabetes. His widow, Jessie Maxwell, two sons and three daughters, all residing at home, survive. Seven brothers and three sisters are also living. Funeral services were held from the Christian Church in this city at ten this morning with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Maxwell resided in and near this city throughout his life and was well known here. He was a hard working honest man and had made a great many friends here.
