Robert Moore Simpson was the son of Alexander Moore Simpson and Margaret Jane Cunningham Simpson. He married Catherine Moore Lang, daughter of Fay lang and Ann Moore Lang, on Dec 16, 1858 in Huntingdon Co., Pa. They had eleven children, Margaret Anne, Marietta, Alexander Cunningham, Sarah Cathryn, Warren Lang, William Lewis, Charles Moore, Milton R., Elizabeth Maud, Lola Alice and Amy Izadora.
