Frank (Franz) Abraham was born Tadzino to parents Martin Abraham and Anna Albecka (Albetzke). He was the husband of Anna (née Becker); the father of Auguste (1855-1857) and Matilda (Abraham) Schmidt; the brother of Henriette, August, Louise Katt, Johann, Jacob, Carl, Martin, Frederick, and possibly a few others; and the brother-in-law of Frances (Klein) Abraham.

Frank Abraham and his family resided in Kostkowo and later Sobienczyce. He worked as a day laborer. In 1865, Frank, Anna, and daughter Matilda immigrated to the U.S. They settled in Paris, Michigan, where Frank was a farmer.
