Charles Nelson Agee, 76, a lifetime resident of the Sheridan community, died Jan. 11 in a
McMinnville hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. in
Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home. Interment will be in the family plot of the McMinnville
Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Agee was born in Sheridan on Aug. 3, 1893, the son of Charles M. and Ida Conrad Agee.

He married Mildred Margaret Post on Nov. 30, 1915, in Portland. They came to live on a
farm in Gopher Valley which had been homesteaded by his grandparents over 100 years ago.
He lived to hunt and was well known as a trainer of hunting dogs. He was a member of the
Phil Sheridan Fellowship.

He is survived by four sons: Norman, Melvin and Raymond of Sheridan and John of Salem;
two daughters: Ruth Tatom of McMinnville and Betty Schmitz of Willamina; a brother:
Lloyd, Sheridan; a sister: Pearl Foster, Milwaukie; 17 grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren.
