A veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he was employed by the Board of Public Utilities for 36 years. He retired from BPU as the superintendent of Power Plant No. 2 in 1990. He also worked for Midway Motors as a driver after his retirement.
Survivors include: wife, Jean Ediger; son, Randy B. Ediger, Dallas, Texas; daughter, Sandi K. Dale, Overland Park; sister, Evelyn M. Minear, McPherson; brothers, Sam N. Ediger, McPherson, and Wilbur V. Ediger, McPherson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was at the First Baptist Church. Burial was at the McPherson Cemetery.
