William C. Rodgers
ORWELL-William Clyde Rodgers, 79, died at Char-Lotte Rest Home, Rock Creek, at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday after several weeks illness.
He was born in Colebrook, Dec. 8, 1883, the son of Samuel E. and Minnie Key Rodgers. He was married to Nellie Loomis, Oct. 5, 1904. She preceded him in death in Nov. 2, 1955.
Mr. Rodgers is survived by six children, Mrs. Ethelyn Dyke, Orwell; Mrs. Allene Cover, Newton Falls; Mrs. Edith Burlinski, Windsor; Mrs. Dorothy Devorak, Windsor; George Rodgers, Orwell, and Elmo Rodgers, Williamsfield. Some 31 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren survive.
Three sons preceded him in death, Kenneth in 1944, arthur in 1952 and Fred in 1962. A brother, Floyd, also survives in Painesville.
Funeral Services will be held at the Paine Funeral Home, in Orwell, at 2 p.m. Friday, with burial in Windsor Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
