From the Charlton County Herald, April 1, 2009:

Sandra Diane Herrin

Sandra Diane Herrin Lloyd Haddock, 58, of Hilliard, passed away suddenly March 21, 2009. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the strength that her family could always depend on when needed and times were tough. She never hesitated to give unselfishly knowing all she would get in return was an unspoken thank you. Her favorite past time was spoiling her grandchildren. She was retired from White Oak Plantation.

She was preceded in death by her parents: James David (JD) and Bessie Irene Herrin and an infant brother.

Left behind to miss her is husband, John T. Haddock, III; sons: David L. Lloyd & Darrell L. (Patricia) Lloyd of Folkston, Mark D. Haddock of Hilliard, daughter: Kimberly A. (Curt) Sowell of Blackshear, brothers: Jack D. (Nettie) Herrin of Folkston and James R. Herrin of Atlanta, sister: Charlotte R. (Rickard) Goff of Hinesville, five grandsons, five granddaughters, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pall bearers: James (Jamie) Lloyd, Ryan Musgrove, Richard Nelson, Jeffrey Moss, Jack (JJ) Herrin and Gary Goff.

The family received friends on March 24, at Shepard Funeral Home in Folkston. Funeral sevices were held on March 25 in the funeral home chapel with interment following in Homeland Cemetary, Rev. Robert Tibbs officiated.

Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest register at www.shepardfh.com.

Arrangements were under the direction of Shepard Funeral Home, Folkston.
