Jennett ''Jennie'' Lowe Rigby Christensen, age 87, died Sunday, June 10, 1990, of causes incident to age.

She was born March 17, 1903 in Hooper, a daughter of Hyrum Liptrot and Cathrine Galloway Lowe Rigby. She married Leonard Christensen on July 1, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died June 4, 1943. She was a lifelong resident of Hooper. She attended the Weber Academy and graduated from Utah State University. She was a member of the Hooper 8th LDS Ward. She had been a teacher in Relief Society and Sunday School, and a Visiting teacher for many years; also a devoted Temple attender. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Mrs. Christensen had been an elementary school teacher at Henefer, Roy and Hooper Elementary Schools, retiring in 1968 after 20 years of service.

Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Leonard Junior Christensen, Fairview, Idaho; Val R. Christensen, Logan; Allan R. Christensen, Clovis, California; Mrs. V. LaMar (Eileen) Cooke, Hooper; 28 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Leone Cooke, Ogden; Mrs. Francis (Jewel) Widdison, Hooper. She was preceded in death by a son Lynn R. Christensen, two sisters, and one brother.
