Joseph Martin Wight, our father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away Aug. 8, 1991 of natural causes.
Born August 4, 1916 in Logan, Utah, the first child of Lewis Mormon and Anna Katherine Larsen Wight. He attended Granite High School and was a veteran of World War II. He managed several service stations for over 60 years. Member of the LDS Church and served in many different positions. Survivors are four daughters and their husbands, Marla and Harvey Jessop; Jo May and Louis Jessop; Christina and Ron Allred; LaWanna and Leslie Allred; a son, Marvin Wight and his wife, Samantha; daughter-in-law, Janette Wight; 30 grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Wight; three sisters, Josephine Bates, Mary Barrus, LaPreal Lubland. Preceded in death by a son, Joseph Martin Wight, Jr. and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 1991, 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 12:45-1:45 p.m. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
