Cornelius Paul Esker was the son of Cornelius Martin Esker and Mary Jane Parsch.

He married Vivian Hadaway abt 1922.

Cornelius was injured while at work at the Thew Shovel Company on 29 Jan 1949 and later died from his injuries.

He was buried 14 Feb 1949.

COLONEL P. ESKER

Colonel P. Esker, 52, husband of Vivian H., died suddenly at his home, 126 Harrison street, at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Born in Elyria on August 1, 1896, Mr. Esker had lived here all his life. He was a member of the First Christian church and was employed by the Thew Shovel company in Lorain.

Surviving him besides his wife are a son, Jack H. Esker, a student at Union Theological Seminary in New York City; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Higgins of Elyria and Mrs. Arnold Schneider of Fremont.

Friends may call at the Wainwright Funeral Home, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Reverend Henry King Shaw, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Ridgelawn cemetery.

The family requests that flowers be omitted.
