OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - August 9, 1959
Floyd E. Beghtel, 69, Urbana, died in the Wabash County Hospital Sunday at 7 a.m. after being in failing health for one year.
Mr. Beghtel, born in Urbana, September 24, 1889, was a lifetime resident of the community. Retired, he had been owner and operator of the Urbana Hardware for 28 years and later worked for the Cyclone Seeder Company.
He was the son of James W. Beghtel and Elizabeth Gurtner Beghtel and was married in Urbana June 4, 1911 to Edith Glee Smith. He belonged to the Urbana Grace Evangelical United Brethren church.
Survivors include his mother and the widow, both of Urbana, one daughter, Mary Jeanette Beghtel (James) Kisner, Wabash RR. 1, two sisters, Ethel (Bruce) Hiner and Anna (Oscar) Burton, North Manchester and two grandchildren. One daughter and a brother preceded him in death.
The body was taken to the Eddingfield Mortuary where friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Eddingfield Chapel with the Rev. C. Samuel Overmyer, assisted by the Rev. Arthur Heisler, officiating. #Burial will be in Speicher Cemetery, Urbana.
