Mary Kay Cool Remaklus, 87, died at 10:05 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Bethel Manor Nursing Home, Evansville.
She was born in Muncie, Indiana to the late Frank and Verena Ray Cool.
Surviving are a daughter, Julia Smith (Jeff) of Evansville; two sons, Nick Remaklus (Janice) of Louisville, Ky. and Neil Remaklus (Sally) of Attica; two brothers, James Cool of Indianapolis and Joseph Cool (Linda) of Rossville; a sister, Joann Rubel of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas Remaklus, Nicole Marcum, Abby Kerkhove, Joe Remaklus, Brian and Trevor Smith and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters; a grandson, Stefhan Smith; 3 brothers, Harold, John and Charles Cool and a sister, Alice Weems.
She had worked several years for Goodman Jewelers of Muncie.
