Reed Jones, Old Harrison County Settler, Died From a Stroke.
MISSOURI VALLEY, Ia.., May 30. -- This community was shocked to learn that Reed Jones, 68, had died Sunday evening at his home near Old Town, following a stroke earlier in the day. His wife had gone away in the morning and he was in excellent spirits and health. About noon his son came and found him in the barn yard. He never regained conscious. He had lived all but three weeks of his life on the farm on which he died.
The funeral was held today «t 2:30 o’clock at the L. D. S. church, and burial was in the family lot out at Oak Grove, near his home.
