June was born June 28, 1939, in Cooks, Mich., to Joseph and Violet (Tanguay) Plante. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. In 1964, June married Charles Olson in Winona, Minn. She worked for Haukeness Insurance and Tax Service in Strum for over 20 years. June enjoyed romance novels, gardening and keeping in touch with family and friends on the computer.
June is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, Joseph (Phyllis) Olson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tim (Anne) Olson of Cascade; five grandchildren, Maggie, Kelly, Diana, John and Chrystal; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Marcella, Mary Jo, Theresa and Patricia; seven brothers, Joseph, Richard, James, David, Roger, Alfred and Robert.
June was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia and Edith; two brothers, William and Kenneth.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum, with the Rev. Christine Emerson officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Strum.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday, all at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
