Eugenia S. Fowler
Miss Eugenia S. Fowler, 2020 West Fifteenth Ave., died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born and raised in the Fowler Community southeast of Emporia. She lived for many years on Rt. 1 and was engaged in farming. She moved from the farm to a home at 923 State St., where she lived for 13 years before moving to the Fifteenth Avenue address one and one-half years ago.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 P.M. in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel with the Rev. Theodore Inman, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, in charge. Burial will be in the Fowler Cemetery.
Miss Fowler was born Feb. 27, 1893, the daughter of Ruffin and Mary Parker Fowler. She became a member of the Grace United Methodist Church after the Fowler Chapel was closed in the 1920's. She is survived by one brother, Justin Fowler, Rt. 1; five nephews, Ted, Francis, and Dale Fowler, Rt. 1, Raymond Fowler, 509 Elm St., and Gale Fowler, Plevna, and three nieces, Shirley Booth, 2613 Morningside Drive, Mary Jane Neff, 2020 West Fifteenth Ave., and Faye Eddie, Leavittsburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, George ad Percy Fowler, and one sister Grace Fowler.
