Mrs. F. Kemp Dies at 83
Mrs. Francis Kemp, 83, died at the Lake City hospital.
The former Esther Walch was born in Detroit, Mich. Mar 25, 1880 and her marriage to Francis Kemp was solemnized there on Sept. 26 1905.
A local resident for 58 years, Mrs Kemp was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Missionary Society, Rosary Society and Catholic Guild.
She was a charter member of the Lake City Women's Club and a member of the Wabasha Historical Society.
Surviving are her two sons, William of Lake City and Paul of Detroit; one daughter, Margaret Kemp of Lake City; three grandchildren, one great grandson; and one sister, Miss Effie Walch of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, eight brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church Wednesday. The Rev. Henry Russell officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Victor Wiech, Walter Hohenstein, Clarence Zillgett, Harold Schreck, Harry Francis and A. T. O'Neil.
Arrangements were by the Peterson-Sheehan Funeral service.
