POCAHONTAS, ARKANSAS - Mildred Lane, 90, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born December 20, 1921, in Pocahontas, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Eddie Abanathy. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lane is survived by her husband, Manuel Lane whom she married February 18, 1969 in Harrison, Michigan; two nieces, Carle Chitty and Jonnie Lee Lavelle; and three nephews Claude, Ray and Norman Moore.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the Taylor-Cox Funeral Home in Arkansas with William Richard and Harry Hendrix officiating.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, in Tabernacle Cemetery in Lynchburg, SC.
