Carolyn Faye Keough Beaver, 74, of Eads died March 28, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services were conducted March 30 at Bethany Christian Church with the Rev. Furniss Harkness, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Jack Moore [pastor, First Baptist Church of Fisherville]. Personal reflections were given by her son Chuck Beaver. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery. Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Beaver was born Jan. 13, 1935, to W. Frank Keough and Virginia H. Hooker Keough of Eads. She received her education in the George R. James School at Eads and at Collierville High School. A lifelong resident of the Eads community, she was married Dec. 20, 1957, to Robert Charles "Bob" Beaver, a U.S. Navy Veteran and longtime TV and FM engineer for public television station WKNO in Memphis.

Mrs. Beaver was a devoted member of Bethany Christian Church for many years and participated in numerous church activitries that included serving as a Sunday School teacher. She will be remembered as a family oriented person who received much enjoyment from her children, grandchildrem, friends and community. A multi-talented persobn with many interests, she was a loyal friend to many and enjoyed woodworking and serving as a devoted homemaker throughout her life.

Mrs. Beaver was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her daughter Amanda Carol Beaver of the Eads community; two sons, Chuck Beaver (Kathy) of Arlington, a coach at Fayette Academy in Somerville, and David Beaver (JoAnn) of Macon; her sister Mary Alice Gagliardi of Ringgold, Georgia; her brother Bo Keough of Eads; and five grandchildren, Billy Beaver, Justin Beaver, Joshua Beaver, Kevin Beaver and Kelly Beaver. Casket bearers were Barry Daly, Rick Daly, Dennis Keough, Ben Niemeyer, Ryan Rogalski and Randy Sanderson. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Bethany Christian Church, 421 Bethany, Eads, Tennessee 38028.
