Florence E. Brabham, known to most as Evelyn, died peacefully at 96 years of age on January 17th, 2019 with family by her side.
Evelyn was born the youngest of four children on September 9, 1922 at home near Franklin, Oregon in a house built on property homesteaded by her grandparents. She married Kenneth Willard Brabham on December 5, 1938.
Family was everything to her. She worked extremely hard to meet the needs of her family. Evelyn enjoyed baking, gardening, quilting, and sewing, but especially loved to crochet. She crocheted until she was not physically able and put her crochet needles torest at age 95. Many friends and family were blessed with her beautiful creations. Evelyn also loved animals. She was known for taking care of injured animals and nursing them back to health. She had a mischievous sense of humor that appeared when least expected.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter, husband, Kenneth, and her three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Mittag, son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Susan Brabham, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several niecesand nephews. She will be missed, but memories, fun stories, and laughter will continue to be shared.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 Friday, January 25th at West Lawn Cemetery.
