Jesse Pitts Pilkinton came to Grayson County, Texas in 1859 from Giles County, Tennessee with the R. B. Foster family. He marrried Sarah King in Grayson County, Texas on 12 Aug 1860. He served in the 16th Texas Cavalry Regiment during the Civil War. After his death, his wife married William Daniel.
