Allen A. Hawley was born February 26,1928 to Leland Donald Hawley and Florence Jane (Bulmer) Hawley in Gas City, Kansas. The family later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri where he grew up and went to school. Allen then moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1951 with his new family and there they stayed until late 1962 when the entire family moved to SeaTac, Washington. Allen departed this life on July 3, 2004 in Highline Hospital, Burien, Washington. He was active in Boy Scouts of America throughout his youth and adult life. He was an Eagle Scout. He led troop #372 in the 1960's and 1970's and continued to volunteer with the Boy Scouts for many years thereafter. He was retired from the Boeing Company where he worked many years at a planner. Allen was married to Mary V. DeHaven Hawley and to this union four children were born, daughters, Alison, Susan Lee, and sons, Allen Daniel and Mark William. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Hawley of Burien, Washington. Children, Alison & W.C. Washington, SeaTac, WA; Susan & Matthew Straight, Bellevue, WA; Allen D. & Kathy Hawley, Federal Way, WA and Mark & Carla Hawley, SeaTac, WA. He is also survived by a sister, Janet Schmalhorst of Broomfield, CO and Carolyn's children, Kenneth & Lorraine Hoffman, Redondo Beach, California; and Robin Hoffman, Covington, WA and 12 grandchildren.
