HUTCHINSON — Floetta Mae Fairbrother, 88, died April 20 at Hutchinson Good Samaritan Center. She was born May 27, 1920, in Meade, the daughter of Alva and Maggie Heironimus Marshall. She was a graduate of Hoisington High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Theis Packing, Great Bend. A resident of Hutchinson since 2006, she had previously lived in Great Bend.

Ms. Fairbrother was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and a bowling league, both in Great Bend.

Survivors include one brother, Albert Marshall, Wichita; two sisters, Juanita Lanham and Mary Ann Cortner, both of Hutchinson, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James and Robert Marshall, and two nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mike Hambley presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson.
