Mrs. Louise Abernathy Morris Autry, age 78, of Adairsville, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Maple Ridge Health Care.

She was born in Cherokee County, November 19, 1926, daughter of the late Augustus Smith Abernathy and Zonnia Victoria Hufstetler Abernathy. She was a member of Stoner Chapel Baptist Church and as a devote Christian she loved going to church. Mrs. Autry was an amazing cook and enjoyed flower gardening, going fishing, and quilting. She adored her children and grandchildren and cherished their time spent together. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tilmon Morris and late husband, Charles Louis Autry; daughter, Dolores Branton; brothers, Rev. Waldon Abernathy, Alton Abernathy, Dave Abernathy, Edd Abernathy, Lum Abernathy, Rev. Elihue Abernathy, and John Henry Abernathy; sister, Ruby Adams.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Bynum of Cartersville, Sheila and Mike Lane of Cartersville, and Dena and Barry Lane of Cartersville; son-in-law, David Branton of Kingston; grandchildren Myron Gwin, Jr., R.D. Gwin, Shonn Gwin, Dustin Branton, Nicholas Lane, Stacey Lane, Megan Lane, and Morgan Lane; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Stoner Chapel Baptist Church, Adairsville with Ministers Bit Parrish, Emmett Burgess, Dewey Atchley, and Joey Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Myron Gwin, Jr., R.D. Gwin, Shonn Gwin, Dustin Branton, Nickolas Lane, and Stacey Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Abernathy, Donald Morris, Rick Morris, Jeffory Abernathy, Bradley Abernathy, and Lloyd Buchanan.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00AM until 2:00PM at Stoner Chapel Baptist Church.
