A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Willamette National Cemetery for William Allen Berkey, who died April 28 at age 89.
Mr. Berkey was born Dec. 2, 1910, in Pigeon, Mich. He moved to Oregon as a child and attended school in Sheridan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, including service in the Philippines. He worked as a bookkeeper for several companies until his retirement in 1975.
Survivors include his son, John L.; brothers, Ivan and Lawrence; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
