A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for John F. Berberick, who died Aug. 9 at age 92. Mr. Berberick was born June 21, 1912, in Portland. During World War II, he served in the Navy. After the war, he returned to Portland and was a truck driver for Oregon Transfer for 35 years. He lived in Lincoln City and McMinnville before returning to Portland earlier this year. In 1936, he married Frances Lackey. Survivors include his wife; and daughter, Rae M. Wightman. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
