William Addenbrooke, a pioneer of the county and for a great many years a resident of Spring Lake, near Eagle, died last week at the family home. His death came within a year or so of the death of Mrs. Addenbrooke, and his daughter, Louise Addenbrooke Kemper, of Milwaukee. A daughter, Rachel, and a son Joseph, of Manila, P.I. survive. Mr. Addenbrooke, was of English birth, a native of Staffordshire and came to Waukesha county when a young man with a number of other colonists fromm the same locality. He was a man of excellent education and wide learning, and had a degree from an English university as doctor of medicine. He never entered into practice, however. When he came to Waukesha county he took up land and acquired more by purchase, until he had several hundred acres in the vicinity of North Prairie and Mukwonago.
The funeral was held at Eagle on Friday of last week. The remains were interred at North Prairie.
