Funeral for Treval A. Bush of Yamhill will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. with the Rev. Norm Aldred officiating. Visitation will be in the chapel from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Bush died July 20, 2004, at his home. He was 81. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.

He was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Dallas, son of Wilbur L. and Olla V. Bush. He and his siblings were raised in the Pedee area. In 1940, he enlisted in the National Guard and was deployed in the South Pacific with the 162nd Infantry in 1942. He received numerous medals, including a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He received his honorable discharge in 1945.

He and Leotta Breeden married April 28, 1946. They lived in Tillamook until 1951, when they moved to Yamhill.

Mr. Bush held several jobs, including with LHL sawmill in Carlton, the state highway department and the state forestry service, where he was for 19 years before retiring in 1984.

He was active in the community and loved helping youth organizations, such as 4-H. He was a member of the Yamhill Horse Trail Riders and his hobbies included hunting, fishing and horseback riding.

Survivors include his wife of Yamhill; three daughters, Cynthia Bush, Elaine Martin and Barbara Matthews, all of Carlton; a son, Craig Bush of Carlton; two brothers, Raymond Bush of Tillamook and Phillip Bush of Waurika, Okla.; three sisters, Reatha Coffman of Eugene, Charlotte Voyles of Arlington, Wash., and June Romanazzi of Visalia, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Bush, in 1993.
