Oscar Linton Alligood Jr., died Jan. 13 at Hospitality Care Center. Born June 5, 1928, in Thomas County, he was the son of the late Katie Mae Stanaland Alligood and Oscar Linton Alligood Sr. He was a retired diesel mechanic from Thomasville Tractor and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughter, Cathy; brother, David Lamar; sisters, Lila G., Bessie A.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Ludie Simpson, Margaret Cozart and Laura Aletha Gee.
