Father: Marion Baumgarden
Mother: Ella (Burns) Baumgarden

Husband: Roy Ray Slocum (married Jan 2, 1934)

Five children

Born in St Clair Co, Missouri to Marion and Ella Burns Baumgarden. Among five children she was their only daughter.

On January 2, 1934 she married Roy Ray Slocum in St Clair. The couple had five children and lived in Missouri. In 1951 they moved to Bingen, Washington, then Underwood. They also lived in Toppenish and Randle.

Dora helped support her family by working as a cook. She worked in various restaurants throughout the 50's and 60's until she went to work at Skyline Hospital. She was a cook there until she retired.

In 1969, following the death of Roy, Dora moved to Husum, Washington.
She loved to cook for her family and friends. You could always find some fresh baked goodies at her house.

She enjoyed retirement. Sewing quilts, crocheting treasures that are now family heirlooms was her recreation.

In 1986 she married Omer Foster. She was a welcome addition to his large extended family. His many nephews and their families thought the world of her.

She passed away on March 14, 2003. She left behind all of her children, two brothers, fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
