Obituary - Mrs. Sarah Ann Davey, Utah pioneer (1868) and life long Church worker, died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Cutler, 173 Downington avenue.

Funeral services will be held in the Cannon ward chapel Thursday, at 2 p.m. The body may be viewed at the residence, 1240 south Eighth West street, Wednesday evening and Thursday before the services. Interment will be in the City cemetery.

Mrs. Davey was the widow of Charles Davey, and a daughter of William and Mary Rose Butterworth. She was born in Winwick, England, Sept. 18, 1850. At the age of 18 she emigrated to Utah, crossing the plains from Omaha with an ox-team company and walking most of the way.

In the early days in Salt Lake she took an active part with Prof. Charles J. Thomas in musical productions, including: "Pinafore" and "Pirates of Penzance."

She was an active Church worker all her life in the Fourth, Farmers, Fifth and Cannon wards. She served as president of the Cannon ward Primary association and for years and was in the presidency of the Relief society.

Surviving are two sons, Bishop Charles E. Davey of Cannon ward and Ether M. Davey of Tooele county; one daughter, Mrs. Cutler; one brother, William Butterworth, East Mill Creek; three sisters, Mrs. Harrison Sperry, Mrs. Edward F. Guest and Mrs. A.H. Woodruff, Salt Lake.
