DANFORTH - Visitation for Ronald J. Siems, 59, of Danforth, will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton, and from 1 p.m. Thursday until the 2 p.m. services at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danforth, where he was a member. Pastor Jim Gerth will officiate.
Burial will be in Danforth Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Siems died Monday (Jan. 24, 2000) at Provena St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee, after a short illness.
Mr. Siems was a partner with his brother for many years in Siems Welding in Danforth.
He had been the Danforth Township Clerk since 1965.
Ron was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Kankakee, the son of Fritz and Evelyn Behrends Siems. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Myra L. Enz, whom he married June 7, 1964, in Danforth; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian and Gayle Siems of Peoria, Aaron Siems of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Ryland Siems and special friend, Sharon Newman, sister- in-law and brother-in-law, Larry and Merry Byerly of Peoria; mother-in- law, Mrs. Madelyn Enz of Onarga; and one granddaughter, Taylor Renee Siems.
Deceased are one step-brother, August Zackmeyer; and his father-in- law, Russell Enz.
He was a pilot and enjoyed planes and flying.
He liked all shooting sports and was a devoted grandfather.
