About 1936 she came to Glenwood, Iowa as a nurse. While working there she became acquainted with John Cochran to whom she was united in marriage on Feb. 6, 1935. They have made their home in Glenwood since their marriage.
To this union were born two children, Travis Eugene and Sharon Kay.
Mrs. Cochran when about 18 years of age, united with the Methodist church in Kentucky, later transferring her membership to the Congregational church at Glenwood. She was a teacher of a class in Sunday school and took active part in the church work. She was also active in Red Cross work and other activities incident of the war.
Besides her husband and two children she leaves to mourn her passing one brother, Harold Travis of Rosiclare, Illinois and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Denton and Miss Imogene Travis of Henderson, Ky., besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Arnold funeral home, Lenox, Iowa, Saturday May 5, 1945 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Earl Moneymaker. Interment was made at Fairview cemetery.
