Charles Raymond Snider, Sr., 64, of Racine, died Sunday evening at the St. Luke Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A retired truck driver, he was born May 6, 1921 in Huntington, W. VA., to the late Charles and Jane Stowe Snider. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Oretha Pickens Snider; one daughter, Mrs. Kevin (Romona) Clark of Cedar Rapids; four sons, Charles Snider Jr., of Letart Falls, Marion Snider, Patrick Snider and Marion Snider, all of Racine, four sisters Beatrice Rairden of Hartford, W. Va., Janet Reeves of Pomeroy, Ruth Koening of Long Bottom and Brenda Watson of Pomeroy; two brothers, Dale Snider of Pomeroy, W. Va and Ronald Snider of Williamstown; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rick Snider.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Racine Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Deaver officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence. Third St., Racine, anytime today and all day on Thursday. The Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Home in Coolville with Rev. Vic Jungkurth officiating. Friends may call at the funeral fome from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
