Mr. McAnelly was born March 1, 1892, in Uniontown, Arkansas where he grew up before moving to Eastern Oklahoma. He settled in Wagoner and became a lifelong rancher and stockman. He lived in Wagoner 25 years and also worked in residential construction. He resided in Muskogee for the past 14 years.
He was married to Otha Ann Daugherty in June of 1913. She preceded him in death in August 1949. In 1968, he was married to Mary Moss. He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Jack Cook of Collinsville and Eli Cook of Joplin, Missouri; three daughters, Mrs. Dew (Catherine) Mayfield of Ramer, Tennessee, Mrs. Harry (Vernie) Anderson of Salina and Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Linzy of Muskogee; one step-daughter, Mrs. Albert (Rebecca) Jones, Jr., of Wagoner; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
